- A shorter style pattern which is great for fishing for bigger species in fast moving water. This pattern also make a great float for fishing with bigger baits like pellets, meat, corn and bread.
- I always use this pattern with an olivette rather than a bulk of shot as it’s far less prone to tangle this way and casts much better too. Below the olivette, which is fixed about 18 inches to two foot from the hook, I use one shot, which is usually a No4 or a No1 when I’m using maggots or casters.
